Emily Buchanan

Prior to joining Paramount in 2020, Emily worked at Mid-Michigan for 15 years working with orthopedic patients in the outpatient setting. Emily graduated from Delta College with her Associate in Applied Science in 2005 and became a certified massage therapist in 2011. Emily loves meeting new people, learning what their passions in life are and getting them back to doing the things they love to do. Upon learning about home exercise programs and how they keep patients active after therapy, Emily decided that she wanted to be a PTA and help people overcome their injuries, disabilities and fears. Emily is married with one grown daughter and 2 cats. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, seeing new places in the United States, gardening, weaving rugs and spending time with family and friends.

Amanda Wegener

Prior to joining Paramount, Amanda was a restorative aide in outpatient and skilled nursing facilities for about two years. The people she met there fueled her goal of becoming a PTA and working with patients on a higher level. She joined Paramount in September 2017 where she fell in love with the attitude that the patient always comes first. Amanda loves to cook, clean, organize, and spend time with family. Amanda and her boyfriend have three sons.

Jennafer Campbell

Jennafer worked at Paramount during school and felt fortunate when she hired in as an employee in 2016. “I really like the variety of patients we serve,” Jennafer said. “It’s not the same thing over and over again, which keeps me on my toes.” She looks forward to working with patients, helping them to address concerns and improve their quality of life. Jennafer was born and raised in Standish and spends much of her free time with her family and friends.

Luke Finkbeiner

Luke brings a broad background to his job. He was a massage therapist for 16 years before Paramount Owner Sunil Malewar encouraged him to go back to school and become an LPTA. Since earning his license, Luke has taken classes on dynamic stretching, massage therapy, and muscle energy so he can provide patients with an array of treatment options. Before joining Paramount in 2012, Luke worked in a neurological medical office. He likes that this job lets him work with patients of all ages and with a variety of conditions. He is married with 2 daughters and spends much of his free time with family and working in the yard.

Ashley Slater

Ashley loves everything about working in health care. “I like the diverse patient load. I get to see kids here, but I also get to see adults, neuro patients, vestibular patients, everyone.” Before starting at Paramount in 2016, Ashley worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a school setting. She continues to specialize in working with children. Ashley, who was born and raised in this area, is married with three children. She enjoys traveling with her family.

Manjusha Malewar

Manju serves as the Rehab Director for Paramount Rehabilitation Services. After graduating from India in 1990 as a Physical Therapist, Manjusha worked in an Outpatient Rehab Center and ICU burn units. Manjusha owned her own rehab center in India.
After arriving in this country in 1993 with her husband, Sunil, Manju worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, nursing homes, and home care agencies and school settings. Sunil and Manju opened Paramount Rehabilitation Services in Bay City in 1997.

Sunil Malewar

Sunil is the president and owner of Paramount Rehabilitation Services. He graduated from a university in India in 1981 and owned a private practice there. Before opening Paramount Rehabilitation Services in 1997, Sunil worked in a variety of physical therapy settings including home care, nursing homes, acute care, community mental health and schools. Through those experiences, Sunil worked with Occupational and Speech therapists. He saw first how the different branches of therapy worked together to help people. From there, Sunil decided he wanted to open a center that could provide a full range of therapy under one roof. Sunil still sees patients every day. He is married to Manjusha Malewar, a Physical Therapist and the Rehabilitation Director for Paramount. Together, they enjoy camping and traveling with family.
