Sports injuries come in all forms, ranging from simple, but painful, strains and sprains all the way up to damage requiring surgical interventions. At Paramount, we help patients heal after ACL, MCL and PCL tears, meniscus tears, neck pain, back pain, shoulder surgery, elbow surgery, and more.
We use a wide variety of treatments for Sports Injury, including Dynamic Stretching and Kinesiotaping. Members of our team have been trained from Cross-Country Education Continuing Education for Dynamic Stretching.
Dynamic Stretching is standing and ground-based stretching exercises through the active range of motion that can be used to:
- Improve joint mobility through range of motion
- Prevent future injuries
- Prepare the muscles for complex athletic movements
- Improve proprioception
- Increase motor skills
- Increase coordination
- Increase reaction time
In addition, we have staff members certified in RockTape FMT Basics for Kinesiotaping. Kinesiotaping is a flexible and durable tape that can be applied to:
- Decrease pain
- Decrease tissue compression
- Decrease tissue constriction
- Improve circulation
- Inhibit muscular activation
- Stimulate muscular activation
- Provide joint support while allowing unrestricted movement
- Increase neural proprioception
- Improve posture
