Paramount Rehabilitation Services helps workers safely and rapidly recover and return to work after an injury. We understand the importance that people are the most valuable asset of any business. That’s why we created a comprehensive and cost-effective Work Conditioning Program that is flexible enough to meet the specific needs of a wide range of businesses. We also complete our FCE reports and send them to case workers, physicians, and lawyers the same day that testing is completed.

Depending on your specific situation, we provide individualized programs consisting of 2- to 3-hour sessions as often as 5 days a week for as long as 3 months. Before creating your customized program, our work conditioning specialists, Megan Monroe, OTRL and Brittany Partridge, OTRL conducts an extensive interview regarding the aspects of your job to determine required job functions so that we can simulate your job in our clinic.

During your treatment, you can expect us to focus on the strength and conditioning of your core, upper body and lower body. After a thorough patient interview and consultation with your employer or case worker, we will create work simulations and educate on proper body mechanics to reduce your likelihood of another injury.

At the end of treatment, you should understand proper body mechanics to reduce your risk of re-injury. We teach you the correct way to lift and carry objects. We reinforce the proper posture for those who work at desks. The goal is to eliminate bad habits and improve strength and endurance to improve your ability to meet the demands of your job and work environment.

Disability Testing

Paramount completes testing needed to aid physicians in determining physical abilities in relation to short term disability paperwork, long term disability paperwork, FMLA paperwork, and social security disability paperwork. Therapists trained in testing complete a comprehensive analysis of physical abilities such as sitting, standing and walking tolerances, squatting, bending, reaching and grasping to name a few. Testing takes an average of 1.5 hours to complete.

Paramount provides an innovative Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) to analyze each individual’s capacity to perform work activities related to his or her participation in employment. The FCE process compares the individual’s health status, and body functions and structures to the demands of the job and the work environment. The FCE can also be utilized to establish a person’s baseline functional abilities so that employment can be found within their skill set.
