Pediatric Sensory Therapy

Personalized Sensory Therapy Gets Results

At Paramount Children’s Therapy Center, parents and their children can expect sessions to be in a sensory-rich environment in a newly remodeled sensory gym. In children with Sensory Processing Disorder, there is difficulty processing and responding to input in one or more of the 8 senses including: visual, auditory, smell, taste, touch, proprioception (joints and muscle movement), vestibular (balance and gravity), and interoception (sensations within the body from various organs).

Sessions are tailored to each child’s individual sensory needs to help regulate the child and coach parents in methods of co- and self-regulation to help children respond to the sensory world they live and play in. Working with your child’s occupational therapist, a sensory diet will be created to fit their needs. Sessions are play-based utilizing the ball pit, swings, and deep pressure to help your child to learn, play, and thrive in their environment.
