Bay City East Patient of the Month – November 2021
Our Bay City East Patient of the Month is John Young!
He was nominated by his occupational therapist, Megan Monroe, following a left shoulder rotator cuff repair with acromioplasty.
John wanted to come to Paramount because him and his wife have been here before. Paramount helped them then and his doctor recommended Paramount so he came back.
Since attending therapy, John can now cut the grass, shower by himself and can get things off the second row in the kitchen.
John was nominated because he persevered through a lot of pain and struggles and he never ever gave up. He is the ideal patient. He is dedicated, does his HEP religiously, asks good questions and keeps all of us in the office smiling and laughing.
Good job John! Keep up the great work.

Physician of the Month- July 2021
Our Physician of the Month is family practitioner Dr. James LaFleur, MD. He completed his doctorate degree at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine and his residency was at Saginaw Co-op Hospital Inc. The staff and patients at Paramount have great things to say about him! One patient stated, “Great people skills!! He takes time to talk to the patients which I really enjoy”. A second patient stated, “Dr. LaFleur is kind and considerate. I really enjoy the PA as well. It’s a great place”. Congratulations Dr. LaFleur and thank you for all that you do!

Our Physician of the Month is family practitioner Dr. Charlotte Yang, MD. She completed her doctorate degree at Fudan University Shanghai Medical College and her residency was at Hennipin County Medical Center. The staff and patients at Paramount have great things to say about her! One patient stated, “Dr. Yang is very accessible and will call you back in between patients. She also does acupuncture”. A second patient stated, “She listens and is spot on with treatment. Staff is also all great”. Congratulations Dr. Yang and thank you for all that you do!
Shelia Hornak
Shelia joined the team in 2021. She worked at a school district for the past 7 years. She worked with kids with special needs sometimes and really enjoyed it. She loves helping kids and seeing them learn, grow and reach their potential! In her free time, she loves to cook, read and run. She is married with two boys that keep her busy!
